Balasana is a great pose to have in your toolbox for when you need some additional grounding. In Sanskrit, bala means child and asana refers to a posture. Since Balasana is a resting pose, it can be great for helping relieve fatigue and can promote relaxation. This pose also helps stretch the ankles, hips, and shoulders. If you suffer from lower back pain, it can help relieve pain by lengthening and stretching the spine. ⠀
