What Are We All About?
At Body Collective, our core mission is to create a diverse, inclusive, trauma-conscious wellness environment where bodies of every race, gender expression, sexual orientation, class, and age, are celebrated and represented.
- Wellness is a right, not a luxury. Access to wellness is a social justice issue, and we are on a mission to make it accessible to all who seek it.
- Toxic wellness environments piss us off. We’re here to disrupt the toxic studio model and treat our students, clients, instructors, and practitioners, with profound respect, with regard to time, energy, and money.
- Wellness is a journey, not a destination. Our goal is to create opportunities for self-inquiry, growth, and healing through trauma-conscious movement for EVERY Body.
- Accountability and repair. Body Collective is founded by two cis white women, and we are aware that our best intentions won’t always be enough. We are committed to engaging in a process of accountability and repair if and when we or our members cause harm.
